EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 18, 2025) –
Kayleigh McMullen had the highest series of any Mount St. Mary's bowler, as the Mountaineers took two more victories and stand in the top half of the bracket entering the final day of Youngstown State's Penguin Classic.
McMullen finished with a 1,027 series, starting off strong with a 230 game to set the tone. She finished 18
th in a crowded field of 124 bowlers. The senior posted four games over 200 during the day. Teammate
Leah Varela was the other Mount bowler to participate in all five games, earning a top 25 finish and a 1,006 series.
Trishelle Leal Uribe had the highest individual game for a Mountaineer with a 237 in the fourth set.
As a team, the team surpassed 1,000 pins twice but both occasions came in defeats to #3 Vanderbilt and #11 Sacred Heart. Mount St. Mary's earned wins over Western Illinois and Coppin State.

Entering bracket Sunday, the Mount will face seventh place Niagara in the best-of-seven format. They could finish as high as fifth place with a 3-0 day.
