NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (April 26th, 2024) – The Mount jumped out to an early four run lead in the third inning and didn't look back as they shut out the Gaels, 6-0, their first shutout thrown since May 7
th, 2021 against Long Island University.
Brendan Yagesh threw seven innings to earn his first win of the season, allowing just four hits while fanning eight batters.
Luke Pryor opened the game by throwing two innings, allow one hit, zero runs with one punch out.
Tyler Long highlighted the offense after going 2-3 at the plate with three RBI's and two drawn walks.
Tyler Long opened the scoring in the third inning with a two RBI single up the middle scoring

Evan Meier.
Scott Seeker followed with an RBI single to left field, scoring
Evan Smith. Long capped the inning with a run scored on an error by the Gael center fielder.
Three innings went by, and Long's name was called again after roping an RBI single to third base, scoring
David Stirpe to take a five-run lead, 5-0. With Yagesh on the mound throwing a shutout performance, it opened the Mount up for more scoring in the eighth inning.
Evan Smith capped Mount's offensive production in the top of the eighth inning with a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher, scoring
David Stirpe to cushion their lead to 6-0.
