SMYRNA, Tenn. (March 8, 2024) – Sophomore
Aliza Shirk paced all Mount Bowlers at the Intercollegiate Singles Championships sectional qualifier in Tennessee Friday evening. The second year standout placed 14
th out of 150 competitors, rolling a 1,222 total over the course of six games for a 203.67 average.
The top five finishers advanced to the ISC national finals next month in Kentucky. Jacksonville State University, the top-ranked team in the NCAA, took three of those five spots led by Crystal Elliot with an impressive 1,396 total.

Alyssa Alexander was the next highest finisher placing 29
th with a 1,170 total and 195 average. Freshman
Piper Chalmers (41st with an 1,135), sophomore
Trishelle Leal Uribe (T-52
nd with an 1,113), sophomore
Sierra Calo (T-52
nd), and freshman
Leah Varela (67
th with a 1,092) also placed in the top half of the field.
Team competition, otherwise known as the Intercollegiate Team Championships, will commence tomorrow with the first half of 64 baker games. The top four teams in total pin-fall will advance to nationals, also in Kentucky, next month. Select pairs will be live streamed all weekend long on BowlTV.com.
