Emmitsburg, Md. (March 25, 2024)--The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team dropped a home match to Saint Francis U, 6-1, at the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts on Monday.  The Mount won two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.  Mount St. Mary's falls to 2-6 on the season with the loss.

In doubles play, the Mount earned wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point and the early 1-0 lead in the match.  Sofia Kostirko and Margherita Trolese teamed up for a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles over Reagen Mangan and Sara Jankovic.  Bella Pescatore and Adriana Barney posted a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles for the Mountaineers as well.  In singles play, Kostirko lost in three sets to Diana Zuba at the No. 1 singles spot, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 while Barney fell to Jankovic, 7-5, 5-7, 1-0 (10-3) at the No. 4 singles spot. 

The Mountaineers are back in action on Tuesday at Loyola at 3 pm
