NEW CASTLE, Del. (March 16, 2024) – The Mount Bowling team went a perfect 4-0 during traditional play of the Northeast Roundup. The team picked up wins over Chestnut Hill, Bloomfield, Caldwell, and Wilmington. The ladies sit second in overall total pin-fall, a single pin behind #16 nationally ranked Merrimack, whom they will play tomorrow.
Sophomore
Aliza Shirk continued her recent hot streak, rolling a 1,084 five game series for a 216.8 average to place fourth individually and secure a spot on the all-tournament team. Senior
Alyssa Alexander was not far behind, rolling a 1,068 for a 213.6 average. Freshman
Leah Varela had a nice opening three game series of 635 (211.67) and provided clutch frames off the bench in the final frames of the day.

Competition will resume tomorrow at 9:00 AM with four baker matches, followed by a best-of-seven position round to determine the tournament champion. The Mount will have to remain one of the top two teams to have a shot at the title.
