MOUNT STORY LINES
  • Mount St. Mary's saw its four-game win streak snapped in a 61-57 loss at Rider on Friday night.  Dallas Hobbs hit a three-pointer with 52 seconds left to put the Mount on top, 57-55, but Rider scored the final six points, all at the free throw line, to secure the win.  The Mount held a 13-point second half advantage, but was unable to hold on for the win.  Jedy Cordilia paced the Mount with 14 points and seven rebounds while De'Shayne Montgomery added 11 points in the game.  Leading scorer Dakota Leffew was held to eight points on 4-of-18 shooting in the game.
  • Fairfield won a pair of close games against the Mount last season, giving the Stags a 2-1 lead in the all-time series.  Fairfield notched a 63-60 win in Emmitsburg before prevailing, 76-72, in overtime at home.  The Mount's lone win in the series was an 80-68 win over Fairfield on January 3, 1949.
  • Dakota Leffew was named the Hercules Tires MAAC Player of the Week on Monday.  The senior guard averaged 20.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 steals in the Mount's wins over Manhattan and Quinnipiac.  It is the second time this season Leffew has won MAAC Player of the Week.
  • Jedy Cordilia scored 14 points while adding seven rebounds in the Mount's 61-57 loss to Rider on Friday.  It is the first time he has reached double figures since scoring 10 in the Mount's win over LIU on Dec. 23.  Cordilia went 7-for-11 from the field against the Broncs, and he leads the team in field goal percentage this year (.557).  He averages 7.0 points and 4.5 rebounds.
