EMMITSBURG, Md. (February 14, 2024) – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) awarded
Ana Luisa Cotta Offensive Player of the Week and
Anita Radaelli Rookie of the Week, announced by the league on Wednesday.
Cotta was one of the leaders for the Mount in the goals category during a 2-2 weekend at Bucknell February 10-11. The senior recorded hat tricks in three of the four contests, finishing with 10 goals for the tournament. Along the way she added four assists and three steals. For the first 11 games, Cotta has the highest number of goals with 32 and is shooting 51 percent for the season.
Radaelli matched Cotta for goals on the weekend, including a five goal effort in the game against Villanova. Accompanying the 10 scores, the freshman finished with nine assists, seven drawn exclusions, and four steals. She is the team's leader for assists with 26 and steals with 20 and like her senior counterpart is also shooting 51 percent on shot attempts.
Mount St. Mary's travels to the Princeton Invite this weekend (Feb. 17-18) for a pair of games.
