EMMITSBURG, Md. (November 16, 2024) – With an average of 199.1 pins per contest, Mount St. Mary's bowling went a perfect 5-0 and leads the Coppin State Lady Eagles Invitational.
Leah Varela finished the tournament in third place, earning a spot on the all-tournament team. The sophomore had a 1,070 series, good for an average of 214. Her best game came in the initial win over Caldwell by rolling a 269.
Mikalah Carter finished sixth in the field with a 1,026 series.
Trishelle Leal Uribe,
Kayleigh McMullen, and
Aliza Shirk all finished in the top 20.
Opening with a bang, the Mountaineers registered a 1,124 game against Caldwell. The total is the highest for the season and the ninth best in program history. Later in the day the team also earned a 1,000+ game with a 1,028 against Felician.
