EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 6, 2024) – Victories over all five opponents, including a six-game bracket win over host Mercyhurst, boosted Mount St. Mary's bowling to a third place finish at the Mercyhurst Invitational in Erie, Pennsylvania.
The Mountaineers start the season 7-3 for the year.
After splitting the first four games in the best-of-seven final round, Mount finished off the Lakers with scores of 198 and 180 to lock up third place.
An excellent start provided the momentum for the day. Opening against Daemen, the Mountaineers registered a 1,048 – their highest score of the weekend. That was followed by a 1,022 against Pitt Bradford, with the last two Quint Baker crossing the 900 mark.
