EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 20, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's bowling earned wins in four of their last five matchups at the Destination Orlando Tournament in Florida this weekend. After earning victories over Prairie View A&M, Bryant and #3 ranked Youngstown State Saturday, the Mountaineers defeated Monmouth and Delaware State in Baker brackets.
Trishelle Leal Uribe led the Mount during traditional play, securing a 1,048 series with four games out of five surpassing the 200 mark. The junior capped the day with a 219 in the final outing.
Aliza Shirk and
Piper Chalmers had series over 900 to finished second and third on the Mountaineers.
Sunday featured two rounds of bracket play, with the Mount winning in five games over Monmouth before going to the full best-of-seven with the Hornets. A score of 181 in the seventh and final game was enough to exact retribution for a defeat to DSU to open the tournament.
