EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 15, 2024) - In their last game on the schedule outside of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), Mount St. Mary's men's soccer fell 2-0 to the Saint Joseph's Hawks at Sweeney Field.
Four members of the team made their first career starts as Mountaineers.
Ittetsu Hirai got the nod in goal, making five saves along the way.

Figo Cheuk, and
Antoine DeCoteau earned starts as field players.
On offense, the Mount registered seven shots but only one landing on goal.
Junee Lee worked SJU goalkeeper Lars Haavie to make a save early in the game. The seven shots came from seven different participants.
Saint Joseph's took the contest on a pair of first half goals. Blake Driehuis delivered a header in the 15th minute, followed by Matteo Mazzotta in the 18th minute off a cross.
Mount St. Mary's looks to maintain their undefeated MAAC record Saturday (Oct. 19) with a 4 p.m. match versus Niagara.
