Bowling Sits in Top Half of Field, Defeat #3 Youngstown State at Northeast Classic

NEW CASTLE, Del. (January 19, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's bowling averaged 194 per match, and defeated #3 Youngstown State, helping them finish in the top half of a crowded field at the Northeast Classic. Out of 34 teams, the Mountaineers sit in 13th place after a challenging draw featuring five matchups with NTCA Top 25 squads.
 
Senior Alyssa Alexander had the best Baker average among Mountaineers, registering a 21.63 for the day. Sophomores Trishelle Leal Uribe and Gianna McGahan finished with respective averages of 19.78 and 19.34.
 
The Mount picked up two head-to-head victories – the win over YSU and a victory of #20 Oklahoma Christian. Defeating the Eagles, the team used a score of 1,121 pins, matching the sixth-best game in program history.
