Mount Bowling Finishes 7-6, 10th Place at Vegas Classic

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (January 10, 2024) – Mount St. Mary's bowling finished 7-6 at the prestigious Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic. After bracket play, the team ended the tournament in 10th place, right in the middle of the 19-team field.

Battling three tough challengers in Wednesday's bracket play, the Mount fought each one in valiant fashion but came up short. Against #9 Stephen F. Austin, the team rallied to force game seven even after enduring a tough 230-223 loss in game five. The LadyJacks took the ultimate contest, 205-174. In subsequent matches against #10 Maryville and #18 Newman, the Mountaineers went up 2-0 in the best-of-seven only to watch the competition rally. The Saints won their match with the Mount in six while the Jets needed the full seven to win.

The Mountaineers finished with a winning record at the Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic for the second time. Battling against some of the top teams in the nation, they earned victories against #2 Vanderbilt, #4 Louisiana Tech, and #12 Tulane, adding those wins to the 2023-24 résumé.
