MOUNT UPDATE

Mount St. Mary's women's golf is set to tee off at the Kingsmill Resort on Monday, September 11th in the inaugural William & Mary Invitational. The team is young and talented with a ton of upside as four of the six on the roster are returning sophomores. The Mountaineers returning helped to break records and make history last season, setting over 10 new school records including the team scoring average at 316.5.

The Mountaineers capped last season off with a sixth-place finish in the MAAC Championships, while four golfers finished in the top 20 on the individual leader board. The team also added a first-place finish to their tally at the Quail Valley Spring Invitational.

All six players returning helped pace Mount's previous stellar season. Returners include four sophomores in Makensy Knaub, Allie Sexton, Jennifer Sorkin, and Naomi Yacyshen; one junior in Erika Cui; and one senior in Suzana Martin.
