Mount St. Mary's looks to build off its thrilling 2-1 win over Fairfield when Manhattan visits Waldron Family Stadium on Saturday. Due to the weather, game time has been moved up to 2:00 p.m. from the originially scheduled 7:00 p.m.
MOUNT UPDATE: Ammit Bhogal's goal with 48.5 seconds remaining lifted Mount St. Mary's to a 2-1 win over visiting Fairfield this past Saturday night. The goal came just over a minute after Fairfield had evened the score.
Junee Lee gave the Mount a 1-0 advantage in the first half. Bhogal leads the Mountaineers with two goals and four points this season while a quintet of players have a goal and an assists.
Ethan Russell has played every minute in goal, tallying a 2.50 goals against average and 28 saves in the six games.
ABOUT MANHATTAN: The Jaspers stepped out of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play on Tuesday night, falling to Fordham, 2-0. Manhattan opened MAAC play with an impressive 4-0 win over Canisius this past Saturday. Sebastiano Musu scored twice in the win over Canisius en route to MAAC Player of the Week honors. Musu leads the team with two goals and four points this year. Danny DiMarco has been the top goalkeeper, posting a 1.82 goals against average and 22 saves while starting six of the team's seven games.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES WITH MANHATTAN: Manhattan cruised to a 5-0 win over the Mount last season in the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Henry Hamilton scored twice in the first half, including a penalty kick in the opening six minutes, to stake the Jaspers to a 2-0 lead in last year's matchup. The Jaspers sealed the win with three second half scores. The Mount held a 17-to-16 edge in shots in the game.
