EMMITSBURG, Md. (August 16, 2023) - The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches have released the all-academic awards in which 16 Mountaineers are recognized for their outstanding performance in the classroom.
The athletes honored are: junior

Natalie Marquiss, graduate student
Pip Piper, junior
Beatrice Vieira, junior
Robyn Currie, sophomore
Emily Hatcher, junior
Hannah Keyser, junior
Hannah Sayre, graduate student
Serena Thurman, junior
Rebecca Valentine, senior
Ana Luisa Cotta, senior
Madison Szczublewski, graduate student
Annefleur ten Bloemendal, and senior
Emily Van Kerckhove.
The classifications are divided into "Outstanding", "Superior", and "Excellent" dependent upon grade-point averages. Mount St. Mary's women's Water Polo had six student-athletes classify as outstanding, six classify as superior and four as excellent. Student-athletes with a 3.2 GPA or higher qualify for the all-academic team, with 3.41 making the "superior" cut and 3.71 the "outstanding" cut.
As a team Mount St. Mary's earned an honor for a combined GPA of 3.43.
