Box Score Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (April 13, 2023)--Mount St. Mary's swept Marist, 7-0, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match on Thursday afternoon.  The Mount moves to 5-8 overall and 2-4 in the MAAC with the victory.

Victoria Papadopoulou improved to a perfect 6-0 in MAAC play at No. 1 singles with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Jane Bockman.  Papadopoulou has won 11 matches in a row and is now 18-3 on the year in singles competition.  Amber Policare fought hard in a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles over Cloe Clements while Shirley Liang rallied for a 3-6, 6-0, 6-0 win over Isabella Tonuzi at No. 4.  Adriana Barney (No. 3), Ana Alvarez-Storni (No. 5) and Ryan McCarthy (No. 6) all won in straight sets.  In doubles play, Policare and Bella Pescatore edged Bockman and Clements, 7-6, at the No. 1 position.  Liang and Papadopoulou were 6-1 winners at No. 2 and McCarthy and Barney won 6-2 at No. 3 doubles to give the Mount the doubles point.

Mount St. Mary's returns to the court for Senior Day on Sunday with a 12:00 p.m. home match against St. Bonaventure.
