Box Score Altoona, Pa. (March 27, 2023)—Mount St. Mary's earned a 5-2 road win at Saint Francis U on Monday to improve to 4-5 on the season.

The Mountaineers captured two of three doubles matches to earn the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead in the match.  Amber Policare and Bella Pescatore teamed up for a 6-3 win over Kelly Dowuona and Bente Vandeputte at the No. 1 doubles position.  At No. 2 doubles, Shirley Liang and Victoria Papadopoulou were 6-0 winners over Nagisa Miyake and Mallory Thomas.

In singles play, the Mount won four matches to secure the 5-2 victory.  Papadopoulou stretched her personal win streak to seven with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Vandeputte at No. 1 singles.  Adriana Barney edged Dowuona, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (13-11) at No. 3 singles while Pescatore clipped Valeria Vinces, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (12-10) at No. 4.  Liang provided the Mount's other point in thematch with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Samantha Quezada at No. 5 singles. 

The Mountaineers continue their busy schedule by hosting Rider on Wednesday afternoon.
