New Castle, Del. (March 18, 2023) – The Mount St. Mary's women's bowling team currently sits in second place with a 4-1 record at the Northeast Roundup in New Castle, Del. The team got wins in the traditional format over #14 Mercyhurst, Bloomfield, New Jersey City and St. Anselm. The lone loss came to a hot Kutztown squad.
Freshman
Sierra Calo was the top average Mountaineer with multiple games, rolling a 796 four game total for a 199 average. Junior
Alyssa Alexander will be the lone All-Tournament team representative for MSM, completing all five games to the tune of a 989 (197.8 average) five game total. Freshman
Aliza Shirk was the first individual to miss All-Tournament team with a 977 (195.4 average) five game series. Freshman
Gianna McGahan provided a nice score off the bench in the fifth and final match of the day with a 209.

The team will conclude their 2022-23 campaign with four rounds of baker total pin-fall to open tomorrow followed by one best-of-seven position round. The team will need to remain one of the top two seeds for a chance at the title. Fairleigh Dickinson, fresh off seeing their men's basketball team shock the sports world last night with a 16 v 1 upset over Purdue, currently sits in first place as the only team ahead of the Mount.
