Box Score Fairfax, Va. (Feb. 19, 2023)--The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team was downed by George Mason, 5-1, on Saturday night.  Freshman Victoria Papadopoulou provided the Mount's point with a win at No. 1 singles.

Papadopoulou took home a 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) win over George Mason's Paige La to give the Mount its lone win in singles competitoin.  Bella Pescatore was edged at the No. 4 singles position, 6-4, 2-6, 10-5, while Amber Policare had a hard-fought match, falling to Taylor Garcia, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 2 singles.  In doubles play, Liang and Papadopoulou posted a 6-4 win at the No. 2 positoin over Emily Wirt and Jenin Alasardi.  The Patriots, however, won 7-5 at No. 1 doubles and 6-1 at No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point.

The Mount women's tennis team returns to the court on Saturday, February 25, at Saint Joseph's.
