Emmitsburg, Md. (December 30, 2023)--Mount St. Mary's cruised to a 101-37 victory over Bryn Athyn in an exhibition game at Knott Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Jaedyn Jamison paced the Mountaineers with 21 points, hitting 6-of-7 from three-point range in the victory.
The Mountaineers took control of the game early, opening the game on a 23-to-1 run that was capped by a Jamison three-pointer. The Mount held the Lions without a field goal in the opening quarter, building a 32-to-7 lead after 10 minutes of play. Bryn Athyn went 0-for-7 from the field in the opening quarter while committing 12 turnovers. The Mount scored the first seven points of the second quarter, and never looked back en route to the win.
Jamison led the Mount with 21 points while adding four rebounds and three steals. She went 6-for-7 from three-point range in the win while hitting 3-of-4 at the foul line.
Jo Raflo added 14 points and a pair of steals with
KC Carter also in double figures with 11 points and a pair of steals.
Giana Hoddinott added nine points and nine assists with
Isabella Hunt chipping in six points, five rebounds and seven assists in a solid all-around effort.
Maddie Novak also had nine points with
Rosa Revueltas finishing with eight points and four assists. All 12 Mountaineers who played in the game scored. Kaylia Duncan led Bryn Athyn with 14 points.
The Mount shot 50.0 percent (34-for-68) from the field in the game, including 14-of-29 (.483) from three-point range. The Mount took advantage of Bryn Athyn's 32 miscues, turning those turnovers into 40 points in the contest.
UP NEXT: Mount St. Mary's heads to Western New York for a two-game Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference road trip. The trip opens with a Thursday matinee at Canisius. Tip-off for that game is set for 11:00 a.m.
