WOODBRIDGE, Va. (November 18, 2023) – Another 3-2 outing in the traditional format improved the Mountaineers' current standing to tenth at the stacked Hawk Classic. After a slower start than yesterday, the ladies turned it up with sets of 1083, 1046, and 1086 to catapult themselves into the top 10. Wins on the day came against #21 nationally ranked Lincoln Memorial, Wilmington, and Adelphi. The two losses came at the hands of #1 Vanderbilt and #7 Jacksonville State, the latter of which currently leads the field.

Leah Varela was the top average bowler for the Mount, rolling an 887 four game total for a 221.8 average. Senior

Piper Chalmers had the top total pin-falls for MSM, shooting 1098 (219.6) and 1097 (219.4) for five, respectively. One more traditional match against #19 Central Missouri awaits tomorrow before two rounds of to be determined baker best-of-seven bracket play.
