WOODBRIDGE, Va. (November 17, 2023) – The Mount Bowling team was only one of three programs in the stacked 22-team Hawk Classic to shoot 1,000 in each of their five contests in baker play Friday. The Mountaineers rolled steady sets of 1070, 1014, 1038, 1032, and 1030 in route to a 207 team average and 12
th place in the high scoring tournament standings.
The 3-2 effort highlighted by wins over No. 8 nationally ranked Sam Houston State and No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater was spearheaded by senior
Alyssa Alexander with a 22.35 frame average. Freshman
Alyssa Balest (21.56) and sophomore
Sierra Calo (20.48) also contributed frame averages over 20.
