SINKING SPRING, Pa. (October 21, 2023) – Senior Alyssa Alexander placed first overall in individual standings as the Mount St. Mary's bowling team picked up two wins and currently lead overall standings one day into the Golden Bear Invite. Alexander posted a 1,081 five-game total (216.2 average) to claim the top spot. Freshman Leah Varela (977, 195.4 average) and sophomore Trishelle Leal Uribe (972, 194.4 average) also made the All-Tournament Team, earning a respective fourth and fifth place.

The Mountaineers currently have a 167-pin lead over a much improved Felician squad that gave the Mount issues in round two. That advantage extends to 225-pins over third place Kutztown. Should the Mount take care of business and remain in the top two spots after four rounds of baker total pin fall tomorrow they will have shot at the tournament championship via a best-of-seven position round.
