FINAL RESULTS

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (January 10, 2023) – Tuesday saw the conclusion of the Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic at the South Point Hotel & Casino. A victory over Tulane at the start of play highlighted Mount St. Mary's efforts on the final day.
 
Starting in 10^th, the Mount fought up the bracket before dropping back to the same position by tournament's end.

After edging out a 159-152 opening game, the Mount rolled past the Green Wave for a clean sweep. The third game also came down to the final frame with a 193-186 score. Totals of 216 and 209 factored into the four-game win.  
 
#15 Mount: 2 | #16 Newman: 4
 
Two key junctions cost the Mount against the Jets. Splits by the anchor bowler in game one and game six provided enough room for Newman to shut the door. On the second instance, the Mount managed to earn a 174-174 tie but needed the final game to force a roll off. The Jets denied them the opportunity with a 200 game, taking the contest.

The Green Wave surged with a phenomenal five-game set to wash out the Mountaineers' hopes for a winning day. Tulane averaged 220 pins, including a 269 in game two. Mount St. Mary's mustered plenty of energy to keep pace, making a comeback attempt with a 232 in game four.  
 
Top ranked McKendree University went a perfect 13-0 over the tournament, repeating as champions.  
 
The Mount is idle from competition this weekend, returning January 20^th for the Northeast Classic.
