Through the first quarter, both teams traded possessions and shots but could not find the back of the net. Bradley made three saves, while the offense for the Mount could not find the target.
Pagnotta got the Mountaineers going in the second quarter when

Dzialo completed her hat trick to cut the lead down to one, but the Mountaineers responded with a 3-0 run that lasted about four minutes. The run was kicked off when Donoghue found Anderson near the net, who then fired a shot past Kowalczyk. Donoghue scored the next goal on a free position attempt, with the third goal coming off a perfectly placed pass by
Anna McQuay that left Anderson one-on-one with the goalie then juked the goalie to score her second of the game. The Warriors cut the lead back to three with 3:43 on a free position shot, but Anderson and Pagnotta each scored late goals to increase the Mount's lead to 10-5.
