Women’s Golf Finish in 5th Place at the Quail Valley Spring Invitational

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 12, 2021) – Freshman Erika Cui was the top-performing Mountaineer at the Quail Valley Spring Invitational with a final score of 161 (+17) to finish tied 9th place. The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team finished in 5th place after shooting a combined score of 676 (+100).
 
Monmouth won the team competition shooting a combined score of 622 (+46), while LIU's Julia Towne won the player competition after winning the playoff, shooting a total score of 152 (+8).
 
Senior Michaila Cheung tied for 15th place with a total of 164 (+20), while graduate student Olivia Gardenhour finished with a 170 (+26) to be tied for 23rd place. Sophomore Suzanna Martin had a total of 181 (+37) to finish in 35th place. Junior Olivia Block finished in 39th place with a final score of 194 (+50), while junior Taylor Woodward had a score of 199 (+55) to finish in 40th place.
 
The Mount will compete in the NEC Championship on April 20-22.
