Women’s Golf in 5th Place at the Quail Valley Spring Invitational

EMMITSBURG, Md. (April 11, 2021) – Senior Michaila Cheung was the top-performing Mountaineer in the first round of the Quail Valley Spring Invitational after shooting an 82 (+10) to be tied for 13th place. The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team sits in 5th place after shooting a combined score of 338 (+50).
 
Wagner leads the team leaderboard after 18 holes shooting a combined score of 313 (+8), while Wagner's Heather McLean leads the player leaderboard after the first day of competition, shooting a first-round score of 75 (+3).
 
Freshman Erika Cui is tied for 15th place with a score of 83 (+11), while graduate student Olivia Gardenhour shot an 84 (+12) to be tied for 17th place. Sophomore Suzanna Martin is tied for 32nd place after shooting an 89 (+17) after the first round. Junior Taylor Woodward is in 39th place with a score of 98 (+26), with junior Olivia Block in 40th place after registering a 101 (+29).
 
The Mount wraps up the Quail Valley Spring Invitational tomorrow, teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
