EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 6, 2022) – In a 5-0 decision, Mount St. Mary's leaves Texas having been swept by the Lamar Cardinals.

Luke Pryor was the standout performer on Sunday. Coming out of the bullpen, the junior pitched five innings. Facing 20 batters, he fanned a quarter of them and allowed two unearned runs on two hits.
The Mount registered four hits in the defeat.

Nick Fleming delivered those knocks, with Bramley and Fisher supplying doubles.
Lamar earned their runs in the second and fifth innings. Three came across in the second, with two on a triple by Deric LaMontagne. An error in the fifth helped Josh Blankenship tally a double to score his teammate.
The loss drops the Mount's record to 1-7 this season. A chance to rebound arrives Wednesday (March 9) as the team travels to Navy.
