TOWSON TIGER FALL CLASSIC RESULTS

Towson, Md. (October 16, 2022)--The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team completed the three-day Towson Tiger Fall Classic over the weekend.  Victoria Papadopoulou and Shirley Liang each won a pair of singles matches to pace the Mountaineers at the tournament.

Papadopoulou captured a 7-5, 6-1 win over Hampton's Angelina Blinova on Friday and earned a 7-6, 7-5 win over Delaware State's Daria Jula on Saturday.  Amber Policare had a straight set win on Friday over Sofia Sokolova of Hampton while Shirley Liang won in straight sets over Hampton's Lucia Jorrin Fernandez.  On ASaturday, Liang captured a hard fought 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 win over Delaware State's Lucia Corte.  In doubles play, Caroline Lynch and Stephanie Huseby posted a 1-6, 6-1, 10-4 win over a Delaware State tandem on Saturday.

The Mount women's tennis team is back in action at the ITA Atlantic Regional on October 20-23 at Virginia Tech.
