EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 14, 2021) – Seniors
Michaila Cheung and
Olivia Gardenhour were the top-performing Mountaineers at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational after shooting a total score of 165 (+21) to finish tied for 52nd place. Gardenhour shot a team-best 82 (+10) today, while Cheung shot an 85 (+13). The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team finished in 14th place after shooting a combined score of 691 (+115).
Akron wins the team competition shooting a combined score of 590 (+14), while Akron's Jenn David and Abbie Pearce, with Youngstown State's Danae Rugola, all finishing tied for first place in the individual competition with a two-day score of 146 (+2).
Sophmore
Suzanna Martin finished in 69th place after shooting an 88 (+16) today to have a final score of 170 (+26). Senior
Olivia Block had a final score of 191 (+47) after shooting a 96 (+24) to finish tied for 78th place, while junior
Taylor Woodward shot a 101 (+29) to have a total score of 198 (+54) to sit tied for 80th place. Sophomore
Mae Zingo finished in 83rd place after shooting a 126 (+54) today to have a total score of 247 (+103).
The Mount women's golf team heads to the Bucknell Invitational next in Lewisburg, Pa., at the Bucknell Golf Club on September 25-26.
