Michaila Cheung was the top-performing Mountaineer in the first round of the Roseann Schwartz Invitational after shooting an 80 (+8) to sit tied for 35th place. The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team sits in 14th place after shooting a combined score of 340 (+52).
Akron leads the team leaderboard after 18 holes shooting a combined score of 297 (+9), while Western Michigan's Haley Barclay leads the player leaderboard after the first day of competition, shooting a first-round score of 69 (-3).
Sophmore
Suzanna Martin is tied for 51st place after shooting an 82 (+10) after the first round, while senior
Olivia Gardenhour sits tied for 56th place, shooting a score of 83 (+11). Senior
Olivia Block shot a 95 (+23) to sit tied for 79th place, with junior
Taylor Woodward shooting a 97 (+25) to sit tied for 81st place. Sophomore
Mae Zingo rounded out the Mountaineers shooting a 121 (+49) to sit in 85th place.
The Mount wraps up the Roseann Schwartz Invitational tomorrow, teeing off at 9:00 a.m.
