EMMITSBURG, Md. (March 5, 2021) – The Mount's tennis team walks away with a women's win, while the men's team come up short in a close match with La Salle. Mount St. Mary's freshmen Ana Alvarez Storni, Shirley Liang, Riya Mathur, and Adriana Barney all record victories in singles and doubles flights to lead the Mount to a 7-0 victory over La Salle on Friday afternoon. The Mount swept doubles action with wins from Avarez-Storni and Liang at number one doubles and Mathur and Barney at number two doubles. La Salle forfeited number three doubles and number five and six singles.
The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team falls 4-3 to La Salle on Friday afternoon. Senior Jackson Wood and freshman Elliot Stevens were able to record wins in singles and doubles while junior Christos Dagklis also posted a win in singles.
