#7 Mount: 4 (267-233-191-200) | Wagner: 0 (191-126-164-176)
As they have all year long, the Mount showed a resilient response following a loss. Coming out of the gate strong with a 267, the Mount never looked back in a 4-0 sweep. The win kicks the Mount off at 2-1 in conference play and improves them to 19-4 overall.
"First off, that is not your typical first year team," said head coach
Kenneth DeGraaf. "That team we just played was prepared and not afraid heading into their season opener. I do not think we necessarily took them for granted, but they certainly filled frames at a higher rate than most startup programs. In match two they just kept cleaning and cleaning no matter what they left and we struggled in transition and struggled to find a fifth bowler in our lineup."
Outside of traditional play, the Mount was led in baker play by Junior
Rebecca Dodson with a 22.18 baker frame average. The Mount will be back in action tomorrow for Wagner's one day Seahawk Invitational beginning at 9:30 AM ET. All matches can be streamed live on the team's Facebook page.
