Emmitsburg, Md. (October 30, 2021)--The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team fell to visiting Delaware State, 5-2, on Saturday night in a dual match at the Mount St. Mary's Tennis Courts.

The Mount captured two of three doubles matches to take the early lead in the match.  Amber Policare and Riya Mathur earned a hard-fought 7-6 win over Kit Yi Kaye Au-Yieng and Baluck Deang at the No. 1 doubles spot while Shirley Liang and Adriana Barney teamed up for a 6-1 win over Iris Leder and Daria Jula at No. 2 doubles.

In singles action, Barney provided the Mount's lone win, posting a 5-7, 6-4, 10-6 win over Deang at the No. 4 singles spot in the lineup.  Liang lost to Jula, 6-7, 7-5, 10-7 at No. 2 singles while Mathur was edged Klaudija Lisouska, 6-3, 3-6, 11-9 at No. 3 singles.

The match concluded the Mount's fall seaon.
