Mount St. Mary’s Men’s Soccer Haunted by Merrimack’s Quick Start

EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 24, 2021) – The die was cast for Mount St. Mary's 20 seconds in against Merrimack. Following that first goal, the Warriors rode the momentum and defeated the Mountaineers Sunday in North Andover.

Led by Jack Shearer with three tries, the Mount fired nine shots. Four players made up the shot count, including Jesus Salazar who placed both his attempts on goal. Adam Siviter registered seven saves but was saddled with the loss.

Frantz Perriot scored for Merrimack on the opening possession, taking advantage of a loose ball in the box. The Warriors added three more goals in the first half and another three in the second half.
