EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 16, 2021) – Seeking their first win in Northeast Conference play, the Mount St. Mary's soccer team invites the Howard Bison to challenge them for a Sunday matinee at Waldron.
 
MOUNT UPDATE
 
Experiencing their third 1-0 loss in conference matches, the Mount fell to a second half goal to the Saint Francis U Red Flash. Three of the five defeats in NEC action have come in 1-0 decisions, with the SFU result adding to identical results against St. Francis Brooklyn and Sacred Heart.
 
ABOUT HOWARD  
                                                     
The Bison stood with the Mount in the NEC standings until last Thursday, when they picked up their first victory in conference play against Bryant – a 3-0 shutout. Bryson Baker leads Howard in goals with five, and Duncan Dunkwu leads in points with 12.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
 
The series dates to 1958, as the Bison took the first seven meetings all the way up to 1995. Since then, the Mount has balanced the all-time record and currently trail 8-9-6. In the last meeting, the Mountaineers won 1-0 in September 2019.
