EMMITSBURG, Md. (October 13, 2021) – Mount St. Mary's men's soccer heads across the Mason-Dixon line to the Keystone State Thursday, seeking multiple objectives as they take on the Red Flash of Saint Francis U.
MOUNT UPDATE
The Mountaineers are looking to right the fortunes of the past two weeks. Despite defensive efforts limiting Northeast Conference opponents to two goals in two matches, the team has seen five games pass without a victory.
Goals have been difficult to come by. The last score for the Mount came on September 30
th against Central Connecticut. Several opportunities in contests with James Madison came within a few agonizing inches of crossing the line.

Indicative of their .500 record, Saint Francis U has scored as many goals as they allowed with 14 each. Patrick Heron and Jeff Thielmann are tied for eighth in the conference with both men scoring eight points this season.
ALL-TIME SERIES
In 25 all-time meetings, the series is tight with the Mount edging the Red Flash, 11-10, with four draws. The Mountaineers last won in 2009, a 1-0 triumph at home.
