RESULTS

Annapolis, Md. (October 1, 2021)—The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team competed at the ITA Region Championships hosted by the US Naval Academy today at the Brigade Sports Complex.

In doubles action, the Mount's pair of Shirley Liang and Amber Policare lost their match in the round of 64 to Nolwenn Cardoso and Ana Torrente of Morgan State by a 6-1 tally.  The Mount's duo of Adriana Barney and Riya Mathur fell in the round of 32 to George Washington's Katarina Marinkovikj and Stella Wiesmann, 6-2.

In singles play, Policare fell to Themis Haliou of Towson, 6-3. 6-4, with Barney falling to Cardoso, 6-2, 6-2, in the round of 128.  In the round of 64, Mathur lost to Karly Friedland of Penn State, 6-1, 6-1 while Liang lost to Paige La of George Mason, 6-2, 6-1.

The Mount will compete in the consolation round tomorrow.
