- The Mount saw its losing streak extended to four with a 67-61 loss at Wagner on Tuesday night. The Mountaineers rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to take the lead on a Vado Morse three-pointer with just over 11 minutes remaining. Wagner countered with a late 11-0 run to thwart the Mount's comeback to earn the victory. Malik Jefferson led the Mountaineers with 19 points and nine boards while Vado Morse (12), Nana Opoku (10) and Omar Habwe (10) also reached double figures in scoring.
- Malik Jefferson has bounced back from a tough stretch to average 14.0 points over the past three games. Jefferson paced the Mountaineers with 19 points and nine rebounds in the loss at Wagner on Tuesday night. He is shooting 56.3 percent (18-of-32) from the field over the three-game stretch. Jefferson scored 17 points while adding eight rebounds in the Mount's first matchup with Robert Morris just over a week ago.
- Nana Opoku has become a consistent player for the Mountaineers of late, reaching double figures in four of his past five outings. Opoku is averaging 10.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.2 blocks over the five-game stretch, shooting 21-of-40 (.525) from the field. Opoku was in foul trouble in the first matchup with Robert Morris, scoring two points in 18 minutes of action.
- The Mountaineers have lost six of their past seven games to fall to 6-8 in Northeast Conference play. Over the past seven games, Mount opponents are averaging 70.0 points while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 40.4 percent from three-point range. Prior to the seven-game stretch, Mount opponents were averaging 64.9 points while shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
- Damian Chong Qui is shooting 44.2 percent (19-of-43) from three-point range in NEC play this season. The 5-8 point guard is averaging a team-best 12.4 points in NEC games while shooting 82.3 percent (65-of-79) from the free throw line.
