#13 Mount: 948 | Saint Francis U: 869

#13 Mount: 1,079 | #25 Prairie View A&M: 1,060
Mount would toss their biggest set of the day when it was needed most, fighting off a red-hot Panthers squad from Prairie View A&M. The big turning point in the match came with a 256-197 advantage in game four.
#13 Mount: 998 | #15 Maryville: 1,013
This time around the Mount would fall on the short end of a close match, losing to the Maryville Saints by a final score of 1,013-998. A 156 in game three would prove to be a negative outlier to costly to overcome.
#13 Mount: 997 | #3 Nebraska: 1,034
After taking a 220-155 advantage in game one, the #3 ranked Cornhuskers rolled games of 245, 181, 220 and 233 to take down the Mountaineers 1,034-997.
#13 Mount: 927 | #1 McKendree: 1,152
The #1 ranked Bearcats proved too much for the Mountaineers in a 1,152-927 rout. The Mount would finish the standings in seventh place after day one.
"The main purpose of this event outside of wins and losses was to see how we stacked up against the best in the nation," said head coach
Kenneth DeGraaf. "So far, I feel
we have held our own in that regard. Now we can take a closer look after today and see where the small margins for error can be made
up. A great day tomorrow can have us in position for a trophy finish heading into Sunday."
The Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic resumes tomorrow at 12:30 AM ET (9:30 AM PT) and can be streamed live on FloBowling.com.
