MOUNT UPDATE
After a hot 3-0 start to the year, the Mountaineers have dropped two straight matches on the road. For the second consecutive game, the Mount St. Mary's men's soccer team found itself on the wrong side of a 1-0 decision. The Mount had a couple of scoring chances early with shots from Marcel Lucero and Juan Molina. The Black Knights were able to withstand the Mount's early push, and broke through with the lone goal of the game in the 25th minute on a penalty kick from Keenen O'Shea. The Mount had one last chance to tie the score in the 89th minute, but Yann Kouemi's free kick from just outside the box went just wide of the goal. Army was able to hold on to secure the victory.
SCOUTING JAMES MADISON
After beginning the 2019 campaign with back to back losses to Florida International and Florida Atlantic, the Dukes of James Madison have rattled off four straight wins to put their record at 4-2 on the year. Their most recent win being one of the biggest in program history, knocking off the #1 team in the nation Wake Forest 1-0. Senior Manuel Ferriol converted on a free kick in the 51st minute to give the Dukes the lead and that proved to be the difference in the match. During their win streak, they have also knocked off Hofstra, Loyola (Md.), and Elon. The squad is led by Ferriol who was five goals on the year including two game winners. Freshman midfielder Dennis Mensah has tallied three goals which is second on the team, while redshirt junior TJ Bush has started four games in net with a goals against average of 1.02 for the Dukes.
ALL-TIME SERIES
This will be the first matchup between the two teams since the 2008 season in which the Dukes topped the Mountaineers by a 3-1 score. James Madison leads the all-time series 11-1 over the Mount. The Mountaineers lone win came back in 2002 at Waldron Family Stadium 1-0.

The Mount will wrap-up their three game road trip by beginning Northeast Conference play at Robert Morris on Friday, September 27.
