- The Mountaineers suffered a tough 75-67 overtime loss at Grand Canyon on Tuesday night. Damian Chong Qui poured in a career-best 23 points in the game while Nana Opoku chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds. The Mount held a two-point lead after an Opoku dunk with 46 seconds left, but Grand Canyon was able to force overtime on a Lorenzo Jenkins bucket with three seconds left. The Antelopes outscored the Mount, 14-6, in the extra period to earn the victory.
- This is the 175th all-time meeting between the Mount and Loyola in the most played rivalry in the state of Maryland. The Mount is 60-16 all-time at home against the Greyhounds, and has won the past three matchups at Knott Arena. Since moving to NCAA Division I in 1988-89, the Mount is 18-14 against Loyola. Last year, Loyola recorded a 75-65 victory at Reitz Arena.
- The Mount leads the Northeast Conference in defensive efficiency (101.0) this season. The Mount is holding the opposition to 68.5 points per game this season and 43.9 shooting from the field. The Mount has held opponents under 62 points in five of the nine games this year.
- Damain Chong Qui scored a career-high 23 points in the Mount's 75-67 overtime loss at Grand Canyon on Tuesday night. Chong Qui has scored in double figures in each of the past four games, averaging a team-best 16.5 points while shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from three-point range over that span. For the season, he is second on teh taem in scoring at 11.7 points per game.
- The Mountaineers are 2-0 at home this season with wins over Gettysburg (75-58) and Utah Valley (64-61).
