  • Mount St. Mary's made 14 three-pointers en route to a 79-55 win over Coppin State at home on December 27.  Jalen Gibbs scored a season-high 27 points, going 6-of-13 from three-point range, in the win while Vado Morse chipped in a season-high 22 points, hitting 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, in the victory.  The Mount made four three-pointers in the opening four minutes to grab an early 12-3 advantage to take control of the game.  The Mount led the entire way.
  • The Mount opens its 31st season in the Northeast Conference against Wagner on January 2.  The Mount is 12-18 all-time in NEC openers, going 8-3 at home and 4-15 on the road.  The Mount is hosting an NEC opener for the first time since a 79-63 win over Long Island on Jan. 2, 2016.  The Mount is 0-2 all-time against Wagner in NEC openers with both games played in Staten Island, N.Y. 
  • The Mountaineers are 23-38 all-time against Wagner in the series that began in 1990 when the Mount joined the Northeast Conference.  The Mount is 12-18 at home against the Seahawks, including a 58-56 loss on a Romone Saunders lay-up at the buzzer last season.  The Mount has won four of the past six games between the two teams at Knott Arena.
  • Jalen Gibbs recorded a season-high 27 points while Vado Morse added a season-best 22 in the win over Coppin State on December 27 at Knott Arena.  The last time the Mount had a pair of players scored 20 or more point in a game was in the final game of the season last year, a 73-71 victory at St. Francis Brooklyn.  Morse had 23 points with Malik Jefferson adding 20.
  • The Mount's 14 three-pointers made against Coppin State were a season-high, topping the previous mark of 10 set in the 75-67 overtime loss at Grand Canyon.
  • Up next, the Mount hosts Long Island on Saturday, January 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Knott Arena.
