Pair of Second Half Goals powers Bryant past Mount

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (October 25, 2019) - A goal in the 72nd minute and one for good measure near the end was the downfall for Mount St. Mary's against Bryant Friday. The Mountaineers fall to 6-7 on the season and 2-3 in Northeast Conference play. 

The Mount struggled in the contest, trailing in shots 18-8 and 9-0 in shots on goal. Yann Kouemi led the team with four shots, and Marcel Trotman added three. Riccardo Zonta finished the contest with seven saves. 

The Bulldogs split their shots evenly in the first and second half, with Mount hitting three shots in the first half and five more in the second. 

Jake Spaulding scored both goals for Bryant - an unassisted shot for his first and a second from Nick Awada. 

Mount St. Mary's wraps up their road trip with a 1:30 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 27) against Merrimack in North Andover.
