ABOUT THE MOUNT MEN
Tonon, Wortkotter, and Landis picked up singles wins but Mount St. Mary's men's tennis edged by Navy on Saturday, April 8th. Navy took the point advantage from doubles action by getting wins in the first and third flights. Wortkotter and Tonon recorded another doubles victory in the second flight. The Mount won the third, fourth, and fifth flights in singles but could not muster up one more singles victory as they came up just short of Navy. Navy won the first, second, and sixth flights to take the match.
ABOUT THE MOUNT WOMEN
Mount St. Mary's Freshmen Quintanilla and Davis recorded victories in singles and doubles flights that lead the Mount to a 5-2 match victory over Loyola on April 5th. The Mount swept doubles action earning the one point advantage going into singles play. Quintanilla earned another victory in the number one singles spot making that 15 wins on the year. Kamprath and Smith took the second and third flights while Davis won the fifth flight to run away with the match.
