Bethlehem, Pa. (February 25, 2017) - Kelly Smith claimed victory in flight No. 2, but Mount St. Mary's University falls to Lehigh with a 6-1 decision. 

Smith posted a 6-4, 7-6 (7) victory over Sibel Can for the Mount's lone victory in singles action. Alex Quintanilla was clipped by Christina Auyeung 6-3, 6-4 in the first singles flight. Sruthi Kamprath put up a fight but fell to Grace Lin 6-3, 6-4 and Erin Benefiel did the same but was defeated by Briana Maravich 6-3, 7-5. 

In doubles action, Can and Friedman defeated Benefiel and Smith 6-2 for Lehigh, and Cruz and Lin defeated Blake and Davis 6-2 as well giving Lehigh the clean sweep in doubles.

Mount returns to action tomorrow, Sunday, February 26, where they will take on George Mason at 4 p.m.
