West Long Branch, N.J. (April 17, 2016) – Isabella Draper registered a victory at No. 5 singles and Mount St. Mary's claimed two of three doubles matches, but the Mountaineers fell at Monmouth by a 5-2 final on Sunday.
In doubles competition, Sruthi Kamprath and Brittany Poje posted a 6-0 win at the second flight and Draper and Emma Blake combined to earn to a 7-5 win at No. 3 to pick up the point for the Mount. Erin Benefiel and Kelly Smith fell, 6-1, to Adriana Armendariz and Kendal Kauffman in the top flight of doubles.
Draper also won her singles match by a 6-1, 6-4 final at No. 5, but Armendariz topped Smith, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 1, Alexandra Graff earned a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 win over Poje at No. 2, Chioma Gabriel won, 7-6, 4-6, 14-12, at No. 3, Kauffman registered a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 win over Blake at the fourth flight and Grace Willis rounded out Monmouth's singles wins with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Sam Barbato at No. 6.
