FIRST FIVE
1. Mount St. Mary's finished in fifth place in the Northeast Conference standings with a 13-18 overall record and a 10-8 mark in NEC play. The Mountaineers are coming off a 55-49 loss at St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. Elijah Long led the Mount with 16 points and eight rebounds. The Mount shot just 28.8 percent from the field in the game.
2. The Mountaineers have posted a winning record in NEC play in each of the past four seasons, the only team in the conference to achieve that feat. It is also the first time the Mountaineers have posted four consecutive winning seasons in NEC play since joining the conference in 1989-90.
3. Junior guard BK Ashe scored 10 points in the loss at St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday, and now has 982 career points. He needs 18 points to become the 46th player in Mount history to reach 1,000 career points.
4. Junior Robinson was named Second Team All-Northeast Conference while BK Ashe earned Third Team All-NEC. It is the second consecutive season the Mount has had two All-NEC players in the same season. Last year, Gregory Graves and Ashe each were named Third Team All-NEC.
5. Mount St. Mary's is 5-2 in the Northeast Conference Tournament under head coach Jamion Christian, including a 4-1 mark on the road. The Mountaineers advanced to the NEC title game in 2013 in his first year, and won the title in 2014. Last season, the Mount fell to Saint Francis U in the quarterfinals.
