FIRST FIVE
1. The Mount fell to Fairleigh Dickinson, 67-54, on Thursday night in the final regular season home game. Junior Robinson paced the Mountaineers with 16 points while Charles Glover chipped in 12 off the bench. The Mount trailed 52-51 with just under four minutes remaining, but a 9-1 FDU run allowed the Knights to secure the win.
2. The Mount is in a four-way tie for second place heading into the final day of the regular season on Saturday. The Mount can clinch a NEC Quarterfinal home game with a win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Saturday. The Mount will be the #2, #3 or #4 seed with a win, and would be either the #4, #5 or #6 seed with a loss.
3. Senior Taylor Danaher appeared in his 125th career game when he started on Senior Day against Fairleigh Dickinson on Saturday. He is fifth all-time in games played at the Mount behind Jeremy Goode (128), Markus Mitchell (128), Julian Norfleet (126) and Shawn Atupem (126).
4. The Mount went 6-for-25 from three-point range in the loss to FDU on Thursday night. The Mount is 1-8 this season and 18-35 during head coach Jamion Christian's tenure when shooting 25 or more three pointers in a game.
5. The Mountaineers are back in action on Wednesday, March 2nd, in the NEC Quarterfinals. The Mount has qualified for the NEC Tournament in each of head coach Jamion Christian's four seasons, winning the title in 2014.
